What do the different LED colors mean?

The device is designed so that the rings light up to indicate various colors.

Charging

When the device is on the charger, you will either see RED or BLUE lights.  

  • Red means the device is our of battery and needs to charge
  • Rapidly blinking blue means the device has very little battery and is charging
  • Pulsing blue means that the device has a charge over 50% but not complete
  • Solid blue means complete

Single Click (Battery Check)

If you click the button on the device one time, you will see a number of BLUE flashes, one for each 25% of the battery life.  

  • One flash < 25%
  • Two flashes = 25 - 50%
  • Three flashes = 50 - 75%
  • Four flashes = > 75%

Double Click (Signal Check)

You can double click the button quickly to do a signal check, like checking the number of bars on your cell phone.

  • BLUE flash = the device is connected to Bluetooth
  • RED flash = the device cannot connect to the cellular network
  • YELLOW flash = the device is trying to connect to the cell network
  • One GREEN flash = weak connection to cell network.  Might not be able to send or receive locate requests.
  • Two or more GREEN flashes = connected to cell.  The more flashes, the greater the cell connection.

Triple Click (Check In)

When you perform a check in with the device, you will see a pulsing GREEN light.  This will be followed in 30 - 60 seconds by either:

  • Flashing GREEN lights and a sound.  This means the checkin was sent.
  • Flashing MAGENTA lights and a sound.  This means the checkin did NOT send

Please note, you will only see the above if the device is NOT connected to Bluetooth


Three - Four Second Hold (SOS)

When you perform an SOS with the device, you will see a pulsing GREEN light.  This will be followed in 30 - 60 seconds by either:

  • Flashing GREEN lights and a sound.  This means the SOS was sent.
  • Flashing MAGENTA lights and a sound.  This means the SOS did NOT send.

Please note, you will only see the above if the device is NOT connected to Bluetooth
